WEDDING - THE BIG DAY!

March 10th 2016 - The Wedding! : Part 1

My Step-Mum (who was also my Matron of Honor) and I stayed at the Scenic Circle hotel the Wednesday Night - So the Groom to be wouldn’t see the Bride before the Wedding Day.
My Step-Mum was wonderful, she gave me a little prep talk in the morning which helped settle my butterflies and she just generally made everything calm and stress-free.
We had breakfast and went into town to Vamp Hair Studio and meet up with my Mum and Mother In-law to-be to get our Hair and Makeup done.
It was nice to be pampered and pamper the Mums!
Especially the Mother In-Law to-be who has Three Sons, Four Grandsons, Plus her Hubby – Not leaving her with much girl time!
The team at Vamp did such a fantastic job and were so wonderful with us, we were very pleased and ALL felt like Princess’s when we left!
Mum and the Mother In-law to-be headed back to Mums place to change and me and my Step-Mum headed back to the Hotel to finish getting ready.

On the way to the Ceremony I expected to be shedding tears with my stomach in knots from both nerves and excitement, but by the time we arrived at the church I was calm and just felt ready.
My Dad, Step-Mum/Matron of Honor and I waited for our song to begin and Dad walked me down the Isle.
We chose Ed Sheerans ‘Thinking Out Loud’ as Our First song (entrance song) The Eagals ‘Peaceful Easy Feeling’ played while we signed the Registrar and when the Ceremony was over we left to ‘Uptown Funk’ by Mark Ronson ft Bruno Mars… which of course Phil couldn’t resist dancing down the Isle to!
Our good friend (pretty much family) Toni did a reading for us - we chose the poem by E.E. Cummings ‘I Carry your Heart with me’. She read it Beautifully!
Everything went really smoothly, I even managed to get through my vows without stammering my words!
The church was fill with Love! And not only between Phil and Myself but among our Family and Friends. The ceremony came to an end and, after 11 years together - to the day!, we were Husband and Wife!

March 10th 2016 - The Wedding! : Part 2

When we arrived at our reception we were met with a hearty greeting from our Guest!
Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, and that's all we wanted, for our friends and family to just have fun!
We had put together a few 'amusements' for the guests such as Favor Boxes - which contained a small 'Message in a Bottle" with each mini bottle containing a different quote/message chosen specifically for the recipient (which was not an easy task!) We had a Polaroid Camera for the guests to play around with and Wedding Advice Cards in lieu of a Guest Book.
We also had the Traditional Pastimes such as the Cutting of the Cake, First dance as Husband and Wife - which was to "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" and i completely forgot I can't dance and got lost in the moment! - and of course we had The Father of the Bride and Best Man Speeches (along with a few extra's).

The day was everything we had hoped for and More!
The caterers did a wonderful job with our Mini Food Theme - Mini Burgers and Fries, Pint-Sized Hot Dogs and a Dessert Bar of Tiny Tarts and Treats!
The Band was Lively and Interactive and the Music was Fantastic!
Phil's older brother (aka my Brother In-Law!) got up and Sang "Yellow" for us which was a lovely surprise and truly wonderful!
And Phil - of course! - got up and joined the band on the Drums, which everyone loved!

We had so much fun, everything from the ceremony to the reception, was very much us.
The entire day was filled with joy and emotions, from my Dad walking me down the aisle to Phil's mum officially welcoming me into the family, and EVERYTHING in-between!
We truly couldn't have asked for a more wonderful day!
