WEDDING - The Features

We planned/prepared our entire wedding ourselves, finding Venues and Transport etc mostly online.
We both wanted to get married in a Church and we thought St Luke's in Spring Creek was just lovely so we had our Ceremony there.
Phil chose our Wedding Car - A 1960 Plymouth Fury - which was gorgeous and AWESOME!
We booked the Guest Transport with Road Trips Marlborough who were fantastic! Especially with our Nephews, letting them touch the buttons and answering their many questions!
Our caterers were Posh Nosh Marlborough who also provided the Reception Venue - La Veranda - which is a charming venue and beautiful location!
We also had two wonderful Photographers for the day, Sarah Hodgett (our Main Photographer) and Daniel Wyatt.
The rest we created/put together ourselves, gathering inspiration mostly from pinetrist and Mums THOUSANDS of bridal magazines.

It was heaps of fun collaborating ideas and putting our own personal touch on everything!
We went with Eggshell Blue as our Feature Colour and designed/created our own Wedding Invitations along with RSVP's, Information Cards and Save the Date notes.
We also put together all our own features for the tables, making Menu Cards, Favor Boxes and Name Cards which we propped up with pine-cones. My Mum was incharge of creating the Flower Centre Pieces for each table and she did a beautiful job with them!
We went with artificial flowers so each one of the lovely lady's in my family could take a bunch home to keep! It worked out perfectly as there were Five Tables which meant Five bunches of Flowers - 1 for my Mum, 1 For my Mother In-Law, 1 For my Step-Mum, 1 for My Brothers Partner (my future sister in-law!) and 1 for Me!

We organize transport for the guests and kept EVERYTHING else a secret until they arrived at the pickup spot, only then would they learn where we were having the ceremony and the reception etc. We created Bus Tickets for each guest which was given to them as they arrived at the 'bus stop'. The tickets had the guests Name and the Wedding Info (Time, Date etc) on one side and a small itinerary on the other side.

For our Guestbook we wanted to create something a little different so we made Wedding Advice Cards and purchased a Polaroid Instant Camera for everyone to take pictures to pop into our book. This turned out to be a terrific idea! It was so much fun looking through the Instant Photos and reading all the Wedding Advice from meaningful comments to cheeky tips and hints!
